The Realme 9 Pro+ elevates the 9 series from the mainstream segment to the mid-range. The 9 Pro+ is priced higher than the 9 Pro and offers some added features such as optical image stabilisation (OIS) in the camera, which has been missing from Realme’s lineup for a long time.

The Realme 9 Pro+ is available in a colour-changing Sunrise Blue finish. The back panel transitions from blue to red upon exposure to UV light if you choose this. It has a slim profile overall and is also quite light, which makes it comfortable for one-handed use.

The phone offers enough grunt with its MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC and it can easily handle demanding 3D games as well as take care of day-to-day tasks. Battery life is also quite good and it charges quickly using its bundled 60W charger.

Still camera performance is quite impressive. The primary camera with its OIS system captures clear and crisp photos in daylight and performs well in low-light conditions too. Android 12 also makes it here with Realme UI 3.0 and it brings most of its highlight features with it.

The mid-range smartphone market is becoming more crowded and Realme’s GT Master Edition is a quality offering at a competitive price with a unique suitcase-like design. Meant to replace the X series of smartphones, the GT series is a new lineup from Realme, and the GT Master Edition packs a punch. There’s a high-quality 120Hz Super AMOLED display which is good for gaming and watching movies on. There aren’t stereo speakers but you do get a 3.5mm headphone jack. Powering the gaming experience is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, which is a worthy upgrade over the 768G and is on par with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200. Camera performance is quite good in daylight but is only saved by the Night mode in low light. Battery life is quite good for a slim mid-range smartphone and charging is quite fast, going from zero to 100 percent in about 35 minutes.

Motorola ships near-stock Android 12 with few of its customisations in the form of MyUX. The phone offers good performance and will appeal to those who prefer style and performance. It isn’t the best when it comes to battery life though because of the small battery.

The Edge 20 has a triple camera setup, with a 108-megapixel primary camera, a16-megapixel ultra-wide camera and.an 8-megapixel 3X telephoto camera. Photos from the Edge 20 were good in daylight and closeups were better. Low light camera performance was not upto the mark.

The Nord CE 5G from OnePlus caters to the lower end of the smartphone market. OnePlus claims that the CE in the name stands for Core Edition since the device is capable of delivering a core smartphone experience. The OnePlus Nord covers all the basics in terms of specifications and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a holepunch for the selfie camera. It also has a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has good viewing angles and an in-display fingerprint scanner that's quick to unlock. The smartphone is thin and weighs 170gms which makes it comfortable for single-handed use.

OnePlus has picked the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor and has 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options. It is available in two storage variants but storage is non-expandable since it does not have a microSD card slot.

The Nord CE 5G gets a triple camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel mono camera. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel. Daylight photos from the Nord CE were good but lowlight camera performance needed improvements.

OnePlus has packed in a 4,500mAh battery in the Nord CE which is capable of delivering over a day worth of battery life. It also supports 30W fast charging and comes with a Warp Charge 30T charger in the box.

The Galaxy A52 is a part fo the A series and was launched alongside the Galaxy A72. The new Galaxy A52 has a big 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a hole-punch display. It also has a fast 90Hz refresh rate. The build is mainly plastic which isn't the case with its competition. The Galaxy A52 is IP67 rated and you will find a rubber seal around the SIM tray to help keep water and dust out.  The smartphone has a 4,500mAh battery and is manageable for single-handed use. The battery is capable of fast charging at 25W but you only get a 15W charger in the box.

The Galaxy A52 has a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The camera performance is acceptable in daylight but the wide-angle camera does not capture as much detail as the primary camera. Close-up were good and the Galaxy A52 clicks some good portraits. The macro camera too was good in delivering a crisp output. Selfies taken from the selfie camera were good and the camera did a good job in most lighting conditions.

The Galaxy A52 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 processor which is a decent processor. It is capable of delivering good performance and coupled with 6GB of RAM, multitasking too is easy. Compared to some of the direct competitors of the Galaxy A52, the chipset feels underpowered.

The 4,500mAh battery delivers good battery life and the phone went for about a day and a half with our usage. Charging times weren't too long either with the charger topping the phone up in about an hour and a half.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 is a new mid-range smartphone, and only the second model in the recently introduced F series. The back and frame are built from plastic but this phone still manages to feel sturdy. It's a thick phone at 9.5mm, and it's heavier than the Galaxy M51 at 218g.  The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy F62 is the Exynos 9825 SoC. One UI looks slick, switching between apps is snappy, and the phone doesn't heat up with regular use. Games run just fine too. Titles such as CSR Racing 2 and Call of Duty: Mobile look great and run well.

Battery life is another big win for the Samsung Galaxy F62. The 7,000mAh battery easily lasted me close to two full days even with heavy usage, which was impressive. The cameras on the Galaxy F62 have been borrowed from the Galaxy M51 too. All the cameras on the Samsung Galaxy F62 do above-average jobs when shooting in daylight. Low-light performance is a little weak, especially when it comes to videos.

If you want a phone that can easily last for more than a day even with very rigorous usage, you should consider it.
